What is the OECD National Contact Point?
State governments that adhere to the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises are obligated to create a National Contact Point (OECD NCP). The main task of the OECD NCP is the promotion of the Guidelines, as well as examining notifications of alleged non-observance of the OECD Guidelines by multinational enterprises. Poland's OECD NCP was established in 1998 within the sructures of the central administration (the Ministry of the State Treasury, the Ministry of Economy). In 2001 the OECD NCP was moved to the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ). Since 2016 the OECD NCP functions within the Ministry of Economic Development.
National Contact Points exist in all 35 member states of the OECD, as well as in 13 non-member states that adhere to the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterpises (Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Egypt, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Morocco, Peru, Romania, Tunesia, Ukraine).
